In January-September 2020, Belarus’ Development Bank financed 919 small and medium-sized business projects, BelTA learned from the bank's press service.

In January-September, the bank concluded loan contracts and lease agreements for Br182.1 million.

Projects in industry (manufacture of lighting products, window and door frames, wooden construction structures, canned products) accounted for the 36.5% of the overall SME support portfolio, transport services (passenger and freight) for 21%, and services for 11%.
Based on the number of projects financed, microbusinesses and individual entrepreneurs accounted for 69% of the bank’s clientele.

Grodno Oblast, Brest Oblast and Vitebsk Oblast occupy the leading position in terms of the number of projects.

As of 1 October, 4,767 projects were financed since the program was launched in August 2014. The loan contracts and lease agreements totaled Br754 million in equivalent. The total cost of the projects financed by the Development Bank was about Br1,303.6 million in equivalent.
