MINSK, 25 August (BelTA) – An innovative electronic business center may be established in Belarus. This is envisaged by Resolution No. 1116 of the Council of Ministers of 22 August 2011, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.
The new center will be opened at the NASB Center for Identification Systems and Electronic Business Operations.
Gennady Volnisty, technical director of the NASB center, told BelTA that the innovative center will help expand the electronic database in commodity distribution networks, streamline trade and promote electronic business operations. The organization will perform several functions. It will apply international standards to identify entrepreneurs and their products. The center will develop a databank of electronic passports for commodities which will help collect more information about goods in order to promote them on the market. The databank includes qualitative characteristics of goods and other useful information. The system will make it easier to work with trade flows. “These databanks are created with the purpose to facilitate timely procurement and transportation of goods,” Gennady Volnisty said.
The center will also work out standardized forms of electronic cooperation between local businessmen with the help of modern information and communication technologies. “Our objective is to introduce standardized forms of such cooperation and define, for instance, forms of digital orders, price catalogues, etc.,” Gennady Volnisty explained.
The primary objective of the project is to ensure the free movement of commodities in the country and abroad. The new center will help unify efforts of leading Belarusian scientists, specialists from the State Standardization Committee, the Trade Ministry, the Economy Ministry, the State Committee for Science and Technology and other related agencies. Moreover, the center needs qualified personnel in order to promote innovations.
