Belarus’ GDP up 11% in H1

MINSK, 11 July (BelTA) - President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko met with Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Rumas to receive his report on the country’s economic performance in H1, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian President. During thу period under review, the country's GDP grew by 11%. Productivity of labor and return on sales increased as well. In the five months from January to April export growth outpaced import growth. Belarus had a foreign trade surplus of $116 million in May. The President instructed the government to carefully analyze these figures and work hard to achieve sustained economic growth.
