Belarus to study execution of decisions of Belarusian courts abroad

VITEBSK, 9 September (BelTA) – The Supreme Economic Court of Belarus will study the execution of decisions of Belarusian economic courts abroad and will tackle issues facing economic operators in foreign states, Chairman of the Supreme Economic Court Viktor Kamenkov told reporters at a video conference in Vitebsk, BelTA has learnt. The Supreme State Court urged economic operators facing such issues to submit the necessary information to the court. “By the end of the year we are going to have a clear idea of how the decisions of our courts are fulfilled abroad and will interfere when needed,” Viktor Kamenkov said. The Chairman of the Supreme Economic Court noted that some economic operators indeed have problems abroad. These problems were brought about by legislative differences and sometimes subjective causes. For example, not all Russian economic operators observe the rulings of the Belarusian courts for various reasons, therefore, the Supreme Economic Court has to step in and even address the Supreme Arbitration Court of Russia, Viktor Kamenkov added.
