At the beginning of 2019/2020 academic year 23 educational establishments work in the region:

• preschool educational establishments – 8;

• establishments that link pre-school with secondary education – 1;

• establishments that link nursery with primary education – 1;

• establishments that link nursery with basic education – 4;

• secondary educational establishments – 3;

• social educational centre;

• correction and development training centre;

• sports school for young people and children;

• child and youth centre.

In general, there are 1461 pupils in establishments of general secondary education in the current academic year. 

In the region, the educational process is provided by 429 teachers of general secondary education:

- teachers having the highest category -123 - (30%);

- teachers having the 1st category -160 - (40%);

 - teachers having the 2nd category -74 - (15%);

- without category - 72 - (15%).

The number of teachers of pre-school institution is 102 people:

- teachers having the highest category -15 - (15%);

- teachers having the 1st category - 42 - (41%);

- teachers having the 2nd category - 24 - (24%);

 - without category - 21 - (20%).
