Today, on October 31, the deadline for submitting documents for the nomination of representatives to the territorial election commissions expires. On this day, the bodies forming them will complete the acceptance of documents at 17.00. There will be fewer such commissions than during a single voting day, because in the current campaign elections will be held in one district — the Republic of Belarus.

There will be 25 territorial election commissions in the Vitebsk region, including in Novopolotsk and three in the regional center. According to the electoral legislation, political parties, other public associations, labor collectives, as well as groups of citizens in the number of at least 10 people have the right to nominate their activists to the regional, district (including in cities with district divisions), urban (in cities of regional subordination) election commissions. Moreover, the subjects of nomination (with the exception of groups of citizens) can delegate only one representative to the relevant commission.

The deadline for submitting documents for registration of initiative groups expires tomorrow, November 1. After that, a hot time will begin for activists and voters: the collection of signatures in support of candidates for the highest public office will start on November 7 and last until December 6.
