Belarus welcomes first newborns of 2020
The population of Belarus grew on the first day of 2020. A girl was the first baby born at the Vitebsk Oblast Maternity Hospital, coming in to the world at 00.00.01 on 1 January. The baby girl weighing 2,850kg (49cm long) is the first child for Anastasia Moroz. A total of six babies were born on the New Year's night in Vitebsk Oblast. Another girl, weighing 3,390kg and measuring 51cm, was born at 00.01 at the Volkovysk Central District Hospital. A total of 12 babies were born in Grodno Oblast on the New Year's night.
