Belarus to push Br16.4 trillion into agriculture in 2011

MINSK, 12 January (BelTA) – The Belarusian agricultural industry envisages 18 programs to be launched in 2011, Deputy Agriculture and Food Industry Vasily Pavlovsky told media on 11 January. In his words, in Q4 2010 there have been approved 17 branch-wise programs and one event to develop the flax industry. In particular, six programs are related to plant cultivation, four – to cattle breeding, four more – to land reclamation and one stipulates the construction of private farm holdings. The amount of financing will make up Br16.4 trillion this year. Br4.9 trillion will be allocated to provide agricultural organizations with home-produced equipment, Br656 billion – to construct and equip the operating grain-cleaning complexes, Br262 billion – to reequip bakeries, Br3.5 trillion – to reequip hog-breeding farms, Br4.4 trillion – to develop the dairy industry and Br1.4 trillion is envisaged into poultry husbandry. Some Br913 billion will be injected to preserve and use the reclaimed area and Br804.5 billion will be put into an integrated program of potato, fruit and vegetable growing development. All the programs are due for implementation in 2011-2015. Total financing is Br82 trillion.
