Customs, business to join efforts for enterprise development in Belarus

MINSK, 23 February (BelTA) – The customs bodies of Belarus and businessmen are going to work out additional measures with a view of creating favorable conditions for entrepreneurship and the growth of competitive ability of the national economy in the foreign trade, BelTA learnt from the press service of the State Customs Committee. Keeping in mind the adoption of Directive No 4 and the fact the 2011 year has been announced the Year of Enterprise, deputy chairpersons of the State Customs Committee and heads of the customs services are set to hold several meetings with businessmen conducting foreign economic activity in February-March. The meetings will highlight practical cooperation between customs bodies and businessmen, business proposals, additional measures for creating favorable business conditions. Efficient customs-business partnership envisages strategic agreement with honest entrepreneurs. At the same time the customs needs to take into account every detail of running business, the State Customs Committee stressed. The Public Council of the State Customs Committee will meet to take stock of these meetings and consider proposals to facilitate the conduct of foreign trade operations within the territory of the state.
