VITEBSK, 19 May (BelTA) – Venezuelan Culture Days will take place in the Belarusian town of Orsha on 20-21 May, representatives of Orsha Town Hall told BelTA.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Venezuela to Belarus Americo Diaz Nunez, First Secretary of the Embassy and director Gerardo Estrada Martinez and performers of Venezuela will arrive in Orsha.
The guests of honor will take part in the opening of an exhibition of portraits of prominent activists of Venezuela’s liberation movement. It will open in the Jesuits Collegium on 20 May. The music band Ali Premira and the folk dance group Yolanda Moreno will perform at Orsha’s children’s arts school No 1. A feature film Brother in Spanish will be demonstrated in the evening.
The next day the movie Lesson in Spanish will be demonstrated. A concert of Venezuelan and Latin American music involving the orchestra of the Mogilev City Capella led by Gerardo Estrada Martinez will be arranged.
It will be the first time that Venezuelan Culture Days will be held in Orsha. Local authorities are intent on promoting cultural ties. Belarus and Venezuela are already connected by friendly relations and joint projects in various spheres. Tight cultural cooperation will only contribute to further enhancement of social and economic relations between the two countries, stressed the representatives of Orsha Town Hall.
