VITEBSK, 11 February (BelTA) – Individual entrepreneurs of Vitebsk Oblast paid almost Br100 billion into the consolidated budget of the oblast in 2010, up 5.6% over 2009 in comparable prices, BelTA learnt from the press center of the regional inspectorate of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties. As of January 2011, over 29,000 entrepreneurs were registered in the oblast. One entrepreneur paid the average of Br3.4 million into the budget in 2010. The share of these payments rose by 0.3 percentage points to reach 2.3% of the budget revenues. The entrepreneurs paid over Br26 billion worth of VAT, up almost 7% over VAT payments in 2009. This category of taxpayers is entitled to special tax procedures. In 2010, over 14,400 individual entrepreneurs paid the single tax. This category of entrepreneurs transferred over Br66.5 billion to the budget. More than 5,800 individual entrepreneurs were able to take advantage of the simplified tax system. They paid about Br22.6 billion into the budget.
