VITEBSK, 23 May (BelTA) – An international symposium “Prospective materials and technologies” will take place in Vitebsk Oblast on 25-26 May. Partaking in the forum will be experts from Belarus, Russia, Poland, China and South Korea, BelTA learned from the administration of the NASB Institute of Technical Acoustics in Vitebsk. The traditional scientific forum will bring together over 50 leading specialists and scientists from research centers and educational establishments. The symposium will feature results of the theoretical researches and pilot projects in prospective materials, technologies of production, examination of their structure and properties. The forum will focus on the research in the durability of materials, including nano- and microcrystalline metals and alloys, composites, high-tenacity ceramics. The solutions of the issues which underlie new technological processes depend on the understanding of the physical mechanisms of deformation, synthesis, heat treatment of materials. The participants of the forum will also discuss the role of the external influence on deformation, defect structure and properties of materials. The participants of the forum will focus on various researches. The symposium in Vitebsk Oblast will showcase the latest achievements in material engineering and technologies. The participants will define new goals to be achieved within the common scientific process. These achievements will help design new materials for economy and medicine. The symposium is sponsored by the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the State Committee for Science and Technologies, the NASB Institute of Technical Acoustics and the Vitebsk State Technological University. The forum will take place at the Berezina Biosphere Reserve.
