VITEBSK, 23 November (BelTA) – The sixth congress of dermatovenerologists of Belarus will be held in the Vitebsk State Medical University on 24-25 November, BelTA learnt from the head of the Dermatovenereology Department of the medical university M.D., Professor Vladimir Adaskevich. This is the first time the congress is held in Vitebsk and is dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the founder of Vitebsk school of dermatovenereology Ivan Bogdanovich.
Attending the event will be more than 200 scientists, research staff, and representatives of educational and healthcare organizations from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Sweden and Israel. The congress will organize a satellite linkup with the First Moscow State Medical University n.a. Sechenov. The main theme will be differential diagnostics of skin pathologies. In particular, specialists will discuss the potential of tele-dermatology and tele-education for physicians-dermatologists, new technology in dermatoscopy of a number of diseases.
The two-day congress will include ten round tables on dermatology and cosmetology issues. The meetings will highlight the problems of clinical dermatology, STD diagnostics and treatment, beauty therapy and innovative solutions for STD and skin disease treatment. STD and skin disease specialists will discuss new medications and immunodiagnostics, Vladimir Adaskevich said.
