Over 17 companies are presented at the exhibition Belarus-2008 opened in Kaliningrad on February 19. The opening ceremony was attended by a Belarusian delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov. Georgy Boos, the Governor of the Kaliningrad region, welcomed the guests of the exhibition. He noted that today Belarus is partner No 1 for the Russian region. The Belarusian exhibition has already gained great popularity among Kaliningrad residents. The aforesaid testifies first to the quality of products, many of which are in high demand in the Russian region, Georgy Boos said. Andrei Kobyakov praised the level of the trade and economic relations of the two sides and underlined that Belarus and the Kaliningrad region have a great untapped potential. The session of the Council for the Long-Term Cooperation of Regions, Ministries, Governmental Bodies of the Republic of Belarus and the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation will take place on February 20.
