The leading branches of Belarusian industry will be represented at the industrial fair Belarus-2008 in Kaliningrad on February 19. Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov and Governor of the Kaliningrad oblast Georgy Boos are expected to take part in the opening ceremony of the fair, BelTA learnt from the Kaliningrad branch of the Belarusian Embassy to Russia. The products of over 70 Belarusian enterprises will be exhibited at the fair, ranging from highway engineering and agricultural machinery to foodstuffs. Moreover, a number of seminars and presentations of Belarusian enterprises are planned to be held during the fair. The opening ceremony is to start the work of the official Belarusian delegation led by Andrei Kobyakov which will arrive in Kaliningrad on February 19. The main goal of the visit is the participation in the session of the Council on long-term cooperation of oblasts, ministries and state bodies of the Republic of Belarus and the Kaliningrad oblast of Russia. The issues related to the cooperation in agriculture, construction and fishing industry will be high on the agenda of the session which will be held on February 20.
