Representatives of Belarus’ Central Election Commission will monitor the presidential elections in the Russian Federation on March 2 this year, BelTA learnt from Secretary of the Central Election Commission of Belarus Nikolai Lozovik. Two members of the Central Election Commission of Belarus – Nikolai Lozovik and Vasily Buschik – will go to Moscow to observe the voting and counting of ballots processes. The representatives of the Central Election Commission of Belarus are not the members of the CIS mission. They will work in line with the special programme developed for experts of the central election commissions of the CIS and other countries. “This team will include professionals only. They will share their onions and discuss all the issues,” Nikolai Lozovik noted. According to Nikolai Lozovik, on March 1, the experts will get familiar with the activity of Russia’s Central Election Commission and visit territorial polling stations. On March 2, they will pay special attention to the work of polling stations and on March 3, the representatives of central elections commissions will attend the final press conferences which will be organized by the Russian Central Election Commission and the mission of the CIS observers. According to the Secretary of the Central Election Commission, the CIS mission has been already deployed in the Russian Federation to monitor the election campaign.
