Belarus wins two diplomas at international informatics competition Innopolis Open

Belarusian students have won two diplomas at the international competition in computer programming Innopolis Open. The final stage was hosted by five cities: Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Innopolis (Russia), Kremenchug (Ukraine), and Minsk, BelTA learned from the press service of Belarusian State University (BSU).

Andrei Mishchenko, a student of the Mozyr Club of Young Firefighters was awarded a first-degree diploma. Student of the BSU Lyceum Sergei Protsky took a second-degree diploma.

Taking part in the final stage of the competition were 234 school students from Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, Hungary, Serbia, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, and Belarus. A total of 34 high-school students from Brest, Vitebsk, Gomel, Minsk, Mogilev, Mozyr, and Molodechno competed in Minsk. The participants were given five hours to solve five problems in informatics.

The international competition in computer programming Innopolis Open has been held since 2015. Winners of the competition are given preferences when applying to universities, or get the maximum number of points in the entrance exam in the subject of the competition. Since its establishment, Innopolis Open featured more than 13,000 participants.
