VITEBSK, 16 May (BelTA) – Business circles from Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Georgia, China will participate in the International Innovation Forum “Innovative business – investing into future”. The forum will be held in Vitebsk on 20-21 May, BelTA learned from Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee Oleg Matskevich.
An exhibition of innovative projects designed by the companies of the region will feature over 150 exhibits available for potential investors. The priority avenues are innovations in logistics, energy savings, food and wood processing industry, mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, tourism.
Particularly, there are plans to set up several regional transport and logistics centers in Vitebsk Oblast, including the transport and logistics center at the Vitebsk airport and the Grigorovshchina logistics center in Verkhnedvinsk District. During the forum investors will learn about the projects to produce construction materials, pharmaceuticals, pectin. The forum will also feature resources and energy saving projects based on the raw capacity and innovations as well as investment projects to develop service sector and tourism.
The forum will include a scientific and practical exhibition of innovative and investment projects “Science. Innovations. Investments”, a presentation of the most promising projects, a business matchmaking session, visits to companies and investment grounds. Investors will have an opportunity to learn about the projects which have been successfully implemented in the region, meet with businessmen engaged in investment activities in Vitebsk Oblast.
According to Oleg Matskevich, the innovative forum will help promote bilateral cooperation between regions, cities and legal entities, boost innovative, investment and export capacity, implement joint projects, showcase innovative ideas and developments, sign agreements and set up joint ventures.
