VITEBSK, 5 January (BelTA) – The Vitstroitekhmash Company launched the production of autohydraulic hoists from high-tension structural steel. Thus, the company completed the first phase of its import-substituting investment project and started serial production of Vipo hoists, Vitstroitekhmash director Andrei Sidorov told BelTA.
In early 2010 Vitstroitekhmash was the first in Belarus to design an autohydraulic hoist from high-tension structural steel. The mounting equipment which is capable to lift constructors, instruments and materials up to a 20-meter height does not yield to its foreign analogues. High-resistance steel reduces metal consumption by 40%. The hoister is operated from the electric hydraulic remote. The cost of the Vitebsk equipment is twice as less. The major suppliers of hoists to Belarus are Russia, Ukraine as well as Italian and Finnish companies.
A new serial production has expanded Vitstroitekhmash’s lineup with autohydraulic hoists of 20, 25, 32-meter height. The current output is 10 hoists per month. Total investment under the construction and purchase of necessary equipment made up Br1.5 billion. The project helped provide 27 new jobs. The company envisages the creation of dealer and service centers, on-the-job training for its specialists.
New products are popular among both domestic and Russian consumers. The company has so far set up three dealer centers – in Moscow, St Petersburg and Kazan.
According to Andrei Sidorov, the second phase of the import-substituting investment project will be the construction of one more workshop. Its cost will exceed Br4.5 billion. The construction will be completed in 2013. The project envisages 100 new jobs.
Founded in 2004, Vitstroitechmash specializes in maintenance and repair of all types of autohydraulic hoists and lifts, manufactures metal constructions and construction equipment.
